United States Special Envoy for Afghanistan & Pakistan Richard Holbrooke visited Pakistan in first week of June 2009 and met with PM Gillani, President Zardari and visited IDPs camps in Mardan. In his visit he had given an exclusive interview to Gul Ayaz, Bureau Chief of Khyber Islamabad. He spoke about misconception of using word Taliban, ongoing military operation in Swat, Waziristan and US Prez Obama role in democratic Pakistan....

  • Holbrooke was a great diplomat, one of the best America has ever had. I assure you that he is not an enemy of the Pashtuns. He wanted to remove the arab fighters from the region. I think we are gonna make a deal with the Taliban so we can remove al-qaeda and go home. Mullah Omar should of handed them over in 2001. Bush went about it wrong though, he threatened them and these people dont respond to threats. Holbrooke saved a lot of muslim lives in Bosnia in late 1995, after Srebrenica.
