Somebody tapped on my shoulder.
Guy: Hey Kat.
I froze. "You have to be kidding me." I said, turning around to glare at Kevin.
**Still Kat's POV*
"What are you doing here?" I stood up, accidentally throwing my chair over in my haste to get away from him.
Joanne: Um... I think I'll jut go... away....
She ran off and I wished I could follow her. "Why aren't you with precious Danielle?" I asked him, sneering in his face to hide my pain. But every time I said her name, it felt like a dagger in my damn heart.
Kevin: I don't know! II don't care! Because --
"I DON'T care why!" I snapped, trying to spin away but he grabbed my wrist.
Kevin: Yes you do
"HOW DO YOU KNOW?!" I screamed at him, forcing my tears back behind my mask of anger. I will NOT let him see me cry. Why can't he just realize that I love him and I don't want to hear about his stupid perfect little spoiled brat!!! ((p.s. I love Danielle in real life! But obviously not in the story haha))
Kevin: KitKat..
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" I screeched into his face, yanking my arm away and running out of the pizza place. He followed me and caught me just as I was passing the ferris wheel.
Kevin: Please, listen to me.
I almost burst into tears at the earnestness in his voice.
Kevin: Kat, can't you see? Kat the only reason I started even looking at other girls was to make you jealous!
My heart simply split it two. Half of me wanted to kick him so hard that he was writhing on the ground in agony. But the other half of me wanted to fall into his arms and kiss him until I was lost in him. My mouth opened, but no sound came out, not that I knew what to say to him.
Kevin: Kat, please.
"Danielle?" The look of shame on his face was enough. "You like her, don't you?"
Kevin: I just knew she would make you jealous. Because you knew that she was trying to get me to go out with her since sophomore year.
I yanked my hand back, tears threatening to spill out of my eyes as I glared at him. "And now?" He couldn't even keep his eye contact with me.
Kevin: I never meant to like her back
"Yeah, well you do! And you haven't even broken up with her have you?" I furiously swiped my tears off my cheeks. How dare he even tell me that he feels anything for me when he's still dating HER?!
Kevin: Kat...
He reached for my face, probably to wipe my tears away, but I turned my face away from him. "Don't touch me."
Kevin: *puts his hand out to touch my arm* Kat, please. I didn't mean to hurt you...
"Well you did!" I screamed, backing away from him. He reached out again and I slapped his hand. "I SAID DON'T TOUCH ME!" I turned and started running again. I got in sight of the bus before he grabbed my wrist again. I slapped him across the face.
Kevin: If you'd just let me explain...
"Explain what?" I asked, my voice cracking. "Explain how you purposefully hurt me with how many girls? Explain how you thought that it was OKAY for you to do so?! MAYBE EXPLAIN WHY YOU ARE CHASING ME LIKE THIS WHILE YOU ARE STILL DATING LITTLE MISS PERFECT?!?!?!?!" I slapped him again as I started sobbing.
Kevin: *puts his hand on his cheek in surprise* Kat?
The angry red handprint on his cheek made me ashamed for a second, but then I heard HER voice.
Danielle: Kevy? What are you doing?
"YOU--" I couldn't even think of any name foul enough to call him. My hand cracked against his cheek once more before I ran onto the bus. I saw Regina and Taylor in the back, looking so cute and happy that my heart clenched in jealousy. What the heck is my problem?!?!?! I'm jealous that my little sister is happy? Oh my GOD I'm a horrible person!
Regina: Kat... what happened?
She looked so worried. How could I ever have any bad feelings toward her? She's my sister! Sorta. "KEVIN!" I spat in answer to her question. I heard Kevin follow me and ducked my head slightly.
Bus driver: No ID or pass, no entrance to the bud!
Kevin: Come ON! I just have to talk to Kat!
"DON'T COME NEAR ME!" I screeched, tears dropping off my eyelashes again.
Bus driver: Do I have to call the police, buddy?
Kevin: *crosses his arms* No. *looks back at Kat* Let me explain!
"Go AWAY!" I looked back at Regina, ready to burst into furious tears again.
Regina: Kat... what'd he do?
I started sobbing, but told her. She looked furious when I was done. Hopefully furious with Kevin
Aly: KAT? OHMIGOD! Kat What's wrong?!?!?!
"R-regina... t-tell her p-please" I barely managed to say that before I dissolved into more tears. I can't wait to get home...
