Old General Goes BOOM!!!

December 10, 1995: News Footage of the old General Hospital being impoded. Was really cool to see in person. Had these videos of the news coverage and decided to give it the digital treatment. Built in 1930 and was without a doubt, one of the coolest most recognizable buildings in New Brunswick let alone Saint John.

Putting A HRD building on the same spot of place where I was born. Kinda makes me sick!!

The new building looks like a shoe box, I'll grant you that..but there is a lot of good things happening there. Post Secondary education for example issues millions in grants every year to assist people going back to school.

When this building was in use Saint John & area had

what we would now consider adequate health care. Money

Grubbers got their collective heads together & you see

what happened next.

New hospital's siding torn off in a wind storm,

sucking out insulation & you could see the inside from

the outside! This event represents the "Death" of health care in

the Saint John area, perhaps all NB.

To see people cheering this mutilation is sickening!Beautiful, someone said? Who got rich on this

I know you been everywhere Hank (sorry...cound't resist the pun) but if only things were that simple. The only way to fix all the problems (healthcare, education, manicipality infastructure) is to tax us at 100%. And I for one think we are taxed too much as it is.

Now if only they would do the same thing to St. Joseph's.....just kidding...just kidding.

I was born there, and actually INSIDE the hospital when it was imploded. I only survived because I held on tight inside of the dome...true story!
