u know how many "sour bends, wrong notes and sloppy timing" walsh and felder have done !(i dont have the EXACT NUMBER but its alot like ALL of us) He did Quite well that solo is a solo FROZEN IN TIME like all records/cds you did good bro

Funny you said that now. I had a chance to play one of these in a local store since I wrote the first post and your right. I suspect Marshall Was trying for a "neutral" sounding high performance amp with the DSL range, but decided they had to give it a "Marshall" sounding voice option, which defeats the original purpose.I generally dislike amps split into more than 2 'channels" this one is more lively and touch responsive than the 401.

It doesnt sound like a 401, Its much more neutral. Think halfway between marshall and fender. the new lc30 (its called a mk2 but its actually a mk3) is better again. for the money its a steal. put a decent speaker in it and you would have to spend Cornford money to better it.

itz not a bad amp but IMO it sounds exactly like a DSL401 .not a coincidence im sure since they came out at the same time.Laney follows Marshall very closely and can be had used for much less. Again none of that is bad but I was never quite happy with my DSL and I dont think i'll be buying one of these either. thanks for the demo.

Nice! How do you like that Laney LC30? I am thinking about buying one of those. Is the high gain channel more for nu-metal with the sort of growly low end sound, or is it more of a classic rock sound?

I think that Laney Lc30 is more for Hard Rock ...Classic rock.
