Excellent. Lively, keeps the meter going along and enjoyed it.

Very nice! I'm just learning this tune ... inspiring; thank you.

This is the most beautiful version of a beautiful tune. I found tab on a few sites which gave me the general feel of it. But once you've downloaded this version onto your iPod and listened to it a thousand times you should be able find the right notes on the mandolin. Then like any other tune it's down to practice to get the speed and sound right. One day this tune just fell into place for me. I adore this version of this jig.

Where did you learn this? Every version I can find online sounds a bit different. I've tried emulating the way you play it, but it still sounds off. Do you have a book or website you can recommend?

I think we all learn tunes differently ... my method's a type of infusion that occurs over a fairly long term playing with others and maybe even ending up playing it "wrong" ..then its
too late to change ! but Irish music in Tasmania 's not for the purist thankfully..just keep
playing till you like it then its ok.
