kclo4/german dark flash mix 70/30

milled the kclo4 for 4 hours before combining with al powder this is the fastest flash ive made so far

how do you mix this powder? you mill it together with al or what? :p

because as far as i know its very sensitive to friction

you mill the kclo4 first and then combine (gently) with the al. NEVER mill any comp that has al and oxidizer together. the only comp you can safely mill all together is black powder, anything else mill the oxidizer first and then combine with your fuel, you can also mill the fuel on its own before mixing. its all about particle size and surface area (german dark is actually micro flakes of al and that gives it more surface area) more surface area =bigger boom stay safe my friend cheers Richy

ye i know the pricipes :p

but i wanted to know how you mix large amounts of it

because it takes very long to mix it via "papermethod"

i wonder if you could mill it all together it if its wet :p

and dry later

Comps with wet al can actually be more reactive so u should avoid this. if u are going to make large amounts then mill the fuel and the oxidizer seperately and then combine (in a baggie is ok as long as you dont shake too hard in case of static ignition)

id say roughly 250/300, got hold of some KMno4 so going to have a go with that, ill try and get some new vids up soon.cheers

what mesh of kclo4 before u milled? 325?

thanx it gave me quite a shock the difference it made when i milled the kclo4 i felt a thud to my chest LOL.
