  • The older version's lyrics are wierder and funnier. One of the older lyrics were: Over dale, over hill, where the hell did the 'tillery go. Guess we'll wont go home tonight

  • In elementary school (early 1950s), we sang this and the other military branches' songs frequently in music class. We also said the Pledge of Allegiance every day. Our generation grew up proud and grateful to be living in the United States of America, the greatest country on Earth.
