  • It's one of MY fav. movies too; so many thanks gentleman Kirk!

  • Would this film get made today? In my humble view, Lonely Are the Brave is as much about the end of the American frontier as it is about a loner's search to live his individual life as he sees fit; the tensions between individual freedom and the common good. Question is: can that tension be resolved. If so, does the individual fare better than the collective or vice versa? The ambiguous ending reflects the open-ended nature of the question.

  • Kirk was originally in First Blood but left the production.

  • Kirk's greatest movie !!!

  • you can see were rambo first blood came from

  • Fabulous moving film

  • Great movie. Good acting from Mr Douglas and a lovely haunting score from Jerry Goldsmith( One of his finest)

  • another great western!!

  • awesome, timeless legend Kirk

  • Lonely are the BRAVE that is for sure to many.
