Who knows... Mabye Ravel in 2011 would have played it this way. Play it in the 18th century manner is stupid, play it in an innovative way is better. Gould teachs.Well done!

What I like best about a slowed down performance is that one can luxuriate in all the gorgeous harmonies Ravel has created - at tempo they are just shimmering colors that flash by, part of the overall kaleidoscope of this piece's genius. Thank you for posting this.
