Strolling of the Heifers parade highlights

Saturday, June 6 was the seventh year for the Strolling of the Heifers parade in Brattleboro. Rated as one of the top 10 summer events in Vermont by the state chamber of commerce, this event, which runs from Friday through Sunday, is a gathering of farm animals, farm equipment, farmers, food producers, schools, children, arts groups, musicians and performers, to celebrate and showcase Vermont agriculture. I saw the parade, which was an hour of non-stop music, cute cows and kids, floats, dragons and dancers. It was one of the most creative and entertaining parades I have seen in Vermont, and highly recommended for anyone to see it.
