Cut from an original Shaka dubplate (probably) In my opinion, the dubwise is the highlight of this tune. If only they could have squeezed more bass out of this pressing.

Label: Forward Roots 10"

Enjoy!

  • This tune and all other copies of it are the property of a man called Nigel Connike.

(See Rizlajohn on Last.fm. or Rizlajohn Profile on World of Jah)

Who never gave Muffet any rights or control of this tune. The original name was Glorify His Name, the lyrics were Redone By Sister Aisha on the Ariwa label in 2005 (with the authors consent) it was also recorded at Addis Ababa studio in the 80s featuring Mackadub on the Bass who is putting a new version on his new Dub Album, with authors consent

  • @MrRagnampiza whoa, thanks for the info man. Much appreciated.

  • its a ras muffet original dubplate

  • @DuBitSelector Ah I knew it was one of the illustrious!

I wonder what the original plate/mastertapes would go for....

  • Yes, it is really spiritual sounding, liturgical like, and then the dub gets going. Really good.

  • @wikidub It is. It could almost bring a tear to your eye. I just wish the pressing was clearer.

  • @buckbumble

there are at least 12 different cuts of this piece (dubplate business early 1980s)

This one here on the 10 inch is imo one of the most mellow/softest..

  • sweet little tune innit?
