When I was a kid there was this band called The Beatles. They had long hair and wrote and sang great songs. They had a lot of hits, made movies, had a cartoon, lunchboxes, wigs, dolls, chia heads, sneakers, plastic guitars and everybody had a favorite Beatle. Then they broke up and everyone was sad. But they all did okay on their own, and we still loved them. They inspired lots of kids to be musicians and write songs. And Paul said "In the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make".
So make love, not war. Imagine all the people, living life in peace.

  • THE BEATLES .............those were the guys that came with Moses....... Sadly I remember those days all too well. We all sat in front of the black& white t.v. in amazzzment.( the ED SULLIVAN SHOW) What great memories. We actually had songs in those days with music. What happened to music now? Rap ( street poetry ) with words of hate......... I'm old fashion, I think that I,m O.K. with that...........Your playin on this 5 stars plus my friend..........DALLAS

  • yessir, dallas. them's were the days. you could turn on a.m. radio and hear the beatles, stones, 5th dimesions, motown, the eagles, carol king, james taylor etc. the soundtrack of my youth! i attribute today's sucky music to mtv and the death of a.m. (although i like some stuff...dug that sara barielles tune). even my 12 year old students ask me to show them classic rock, and say 'our music sucks'.

  • Brilliant. You''re much more original than any other cover I've heard so far. 5*

  • thanks emma. i've played this song since the white album came out, and always look to do something different. i like billy prestons version a lot too....

  • You're amazing. You remind me of Tommy Emmanuel

  • Well, thanks. I think TE is about the best player around today. The first time I heard him, a few years ago on a PBS special, I couldn't sleep afterwards. Was up in tahoe with my wife and I had to go for a long walk. Haven't been so stunned since I first heard Lenny Breau. So.........that makes my day.
