Im using male to 2 female y-splitters. So its
-< Okay? So do i need a second double ended av cable? My setup is this: Y splitter in television output, xbox and 1 double sided av cable into each y splitter, double sided av cable to easycap. Easycap to USB extendor to PC. Will this work?

Truly, the 3rd splitter is not required. It is only required if you want stereo sound. If you use 2 splitters, the sound will only come out 1 side of the speakers, but it really doesn't matter, as the ending result is usually good.

@ugonadie9 yeah but this way, you can get both audio feeds (as i call them). But, if you want, just one audio cable (i think its either red or yellow) and the video cable. BUT...i prefer this way =)

do you need to have the yellow wire in for it to record video? my TV is a new samsung and i havent got enough of the input holes to do this and i have to leave out the yellow wire. can anyone help me because whenever i go to record it just comes up with static
