  • Who originally wrote this song? In the CD notes it says P. Hampton...but I can't figure out who that is.....help?!

  • @cysublime The song is originally by a cat name Lou Donaldson. He's an old school jazz sax player.

  • @mccordo Look in the notes from the CD, its lists the writer as P. Hampton. I have the Lou CD as well (Everything I Play) and even there it lists P. Hampton as a co-writer....so I wonder if Lou and this P. dude wrote it together??

  • @cysublime Hmmmm...I never got that far into it. I knew Lou played it, but I never went beyond that. I'll post something here if I find out.

  • That P. Hampton is actually Slide Hampton's niece...Paula Hampton. A drummer with

a female group out of New York called...Jazzberry Jam!

  • you don't see these guys around like you used to, great band w/ some great times

  • Hamp's Hump, freekin' classic Galactic. Love it. Anyone know where this was? It almost looks like a record store...

  • Stanton Moore...

  • Holy crap. That's the definition of chops right there. Not trying hard at all and absolutely killing it.
