Decided to try seafoam in my Eclipse. Didn't make any noticeable difference. Motor has roughly 80k miles. I went and beat on the car a little bit after the video and was able to get plenty more smoke out, but unfortunately there's not much in the video.

  • whats the point of this

  • @lote1234567891011 It's supposed to clean out carbon deposits inside the engine to make it run more efficiently and reduce chance of detonation

  • Were you concerned with it affecting AFR to a dangerous level? I am hesitant to run it through my Evo.

  • @JReid0861 I wasn't really concerned. The engine isn't under much load when the car is just idling, so AFRs aren't really that important. I didn't observe if/how my AFR was affected while the seafoam was running through, through, but it's probably negligible. As long as your knock sensor is working properly you should be fine

  • @03Eclipse is the car still running good???

  • @laurenceKJ Well the splines on the differential are stripped so it keeps stripping axles on the driver side if I put too much load on it. So it doesn't go very far, but the engine still runs great!
