Avoid co-optation, control, centralization and institutionalization. Co-optation will turn revolution into reform. Remain decentralized, grass roots, and radical. The enemy is not simply the banks and corporations, but all the institutions and ideas which seek to define, dominate, control, oppress and destroy humanity.

  • You're fighting to destroy the United States of America. You're being used by Marxist Socialists, Communists, and Anarchists. Learn what Amercian Exceptionalism is, and fight to preserve it. Visit Heritage Foundation's UNDERSTANDING AMERICA before you throw away your country!

  • @StirlingProductions American Exceptionalism is a myth. The Heritage Foundation is a corporate controlled ideology-production center. Throw away the country? The nations of the world were created to throw away, segregate, and control humanity. Now that we are being grouped into larger blocs of continental and global governance structures, the state is being expanded, geographically and in terms of its authority. What are you trying to preserve here? A myth? Do not fear ideas, understand them.

  • @riethc People fear the word "radical" because they do not understand it. The Latin word for radical means "the root of", as in, radical perspectives get to "the root of" the issue. If you want TRUE change, you must seek radical change. Or... you can call me a hippie and tell me to go live in the woods, because that requires no intellectual investigation, self-reflection, or critical thinking. All it requires is the same mode of thinking of those who denounce the protesters as "lazy hippies".

  • @andrewgavinmarshall When you compare people to mice and spit on civilization generally, it shows you're just another modern intellectual programmed to despise all historical human progress that came before you; throwing the baby out with the bath water.

  • @riethc That's quite a conclusion. The comparison to mice is in reference to how people have always been subjected to some form of control, authority, and oppression since the notion of "civilization" began. This is not a controversial notion, it's well known. It's called 'history.' As for "despising all historical human progress", it's actually quite the opposite. It's about seeing all forms and methods of progress and rather understanding them as progress in SPITE of the oppressive condition

  • @riethc To achieve progress in spite of such control through history speaks volumes to a real notion of human nature which seeks freedom above all. Thus, it would seem better if we create a society in which "progress" does not become the exception, but the rule, no? As for "civilization," you can praise it as much as you please, but the reality of history is that some of the greatest acts of dehumanization were done in the name of "civilization," and didn't work for most people on this planet.

  • @bebadus That is exactly what the man is saying. Your rage is making you deaf. People like Soros are co-opting the movement therefore compromising the potential of the movement to realize the goals that the movement originally intended to accomplish.

  • @toyotabedzrock There are over 300 million people here in America. One percent is 3 million. According to the numbers it is doable. Numbers never lie.

  • OWS was organized in 2010, along with many similar movements. OWS is not spreading globally, it was organized as such almost a year ago. Google: "2011 international road to dignity" and "ows otpor"

  • The Bankers donated to the Democrats for 2006 and 2008 only. Before that and now they donate mostly to Republicans.

And unless you have a million man army you cannot have a revolution.

  • @StirlingProductions You are being manipulated and it's called "divide and conquer." That's exactly what the ruling elites want people to think, so that they can't unite and will be confused, creating more and more chaos! Wake up already and recognize what and who the real enemy is: corrupt government and the Federal Reserve sucking off of people like parasites!

  • @StirlingProductions ABSOLUTLEY CORRECT!!! fucking morons, reading facebook posts think they know whats going on... stupid motherfuckers. go ahead Occupiers- go and ask other people on their facebook page where they get their organzational funding and dont stop till someone answers. which they will not. then they will block you. imagine if they had power over something more than a facebook page? you demand transparency and supply none.

  • Danger Will Robinson! Enemy of the state! Save the Republic!

  • Once you accept money from any of the elite you are as good as theirs. In some cases a movement is set up as a front for elite interests, in others it is co-opted via infiltrators. In this way they can redirect the efforts of many naive activists and pacify the general public. I am leary when politicians and celebrities (ALL of whom have a BIG stake in the perpetuation of the establishment) attach themselves to ANY altruistic cause. Giving fools 'panem et circences' is as effective as ever!
