Airlines are privately owned and therefore can refuse the carry on of arms in the use of their services without it being in violation of the constitution. "America is the freest country on earth". What the hell does that even mean?

See the formers spokesman for Jeb Bush just proves he isn't a traditional conservative by saying that we should give up our right to carry arms on a plane. Isn't the whole point of gun rights so that people can defend themselves against criminals? It works the same way in the air as it does on ground. If pilots and passengers were allowed to carry guns, maybe terrorists wouldn't succeed.

"42 terrorist plots have been thwarted..." kinda like the one dude who was approached by the FBI, they told him they would pay him a bunch of money if he would do this one thing.... and then they arrested him for terrorism. so that's 1 out of the 42 that was thwarted, how many more people out of the 41 remaining were entrapped like that guy? we're only capturing those we coerce into being terrorists. big whoop, I'd like my rights back thank you very much.
