  • Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Like some have said, a desoldering iron can make things easier... especially with components with more than 2 legs. Transistors, ICs, etc, would be very hard to remove without a solder sucker! I recommend the all-in-one unit with the soldering iron and red bulb. Available at Radio Shack for under $20.

  • great video I have a question I have a plasma tv and when I turn it on it will turn it self off right away. I have it open and I can hear the powerboard clicking how would I know which capacitor is bad it does not show any burn area help if u can

  • @topshotta2007 Open up the back of the television. I have the same problem and found out that three capacitors had blown. Try replacing the capacitors or replacing the whole power board. I'm going to try replacing the capacitors first, if that doesn't work, I'll sell the parts.

  • @bulchit48 Usually the "bad" capacitors are bubbled at the top were the cross lines are. looks like a dome.

  • Thanks for sharing. That was very helpful The caps I got are 1000 35v but the original ones are 820 25v. The extra voltage wont matter. But what about the other.. can't recall what name it's called. Will the extra make things worst or...
