DIAMOND HEAD HD "Waydes World Hawaii"

HIKE (Easy/Moderate) "CHILD FRIENDLY" We headed up to the famous DIAMOND HEAD CRATER...It was a beautiful hike, all up hill mind you! We got there pretty early, around 6:30am...But sometimes tour groups come in at 6am to have the tourists watch the sunrise, it's hit or miss with this one. I would still recommend you get up early and get there when it opens at 6am. If there are bus loads just take it slow on the way up and hopefully they will be heading down while you head up. This is the second most visited tourist attraction after the Pearl Harbor Memorial so be aware there will be a good amount of people on this hike. It's still worth it. My advice...take your time, pick your lanes and you will find areas where it will just be you and diamond head. Enjoy!

My wife and I were married at the base of Diamond Head back in 86. The park is at 3223 Diamond Head Rd. Although I have been to Hawai'i many times I haven't yet hiked to the top of Diamond Head. I know it can get cooking hot up there and it's a workout and a half! Good vid!!

@WAYDESWORLDHAWAII Right on man. We usually hit O'ahu each year, but this is the one year we are taking a break. So in 2011 for sure because it will be our 25th Anniversary. The background pic. on my Youtube channel was taken at Lyon Arboretum. I love Hawai'i.
