I'd say you should always remember that music should be something you love and something that is fun. Starting out can be very hard but stay with it and you will enjoy it for the rest of your life!

No I'm not the principle, that's Viktor Batki, a wonderful violist. I was his stand partner at the Summit.

@mapletaffy123098 get in the habit of practicing regularly. i've been playing for almost 4 years and i never got in the habit of practicing, and i REALLY wish i had from the beginning!! I would be a MUCH better player if i had, and the earlier you start the easier it is to form the habit. don't wait! practice, practice, practice! and more importantly, have fun! :)

WOW!! You are REALLY good!! I hope i can play like that someday!! I've been playing the viola for almost four years-- i started in 7th grade and am almost finished with 10th grade-- but i still can't do a proper vibrato! Next year i will be in symphonic orchestra (my school has 2, symphonic you must audition for, concert is for everyone else) and i really need to learn to vibrato! i do it with my finger instead of my wrist. i just cant do wrist! it sounds fine, but its not correct. any tips?

@TetoKasaneChimera Your hand has to be in a corret poster. You hand should be striaght and move back and forth. Make sure u start with ur 3 or 2nd finger first and make sure your finger is bending back and forth. If u want some videos ill personally would be happy to help. @TetoKasaneChimera I always mess up on vibrato, too. =/ I havn't been playing the viola long, so I hope to get it soon. I'm fine until I press my fingers to the string and neck. D:

Oh, I hate those G chords! They are so scratchy for me! But this was amazing!
