yes!!! on POINT. . .we are not just a "little" messed up, dead in sins, the only answer in the eyes of a HOLY GOD just like he said---death. And where sin did abound (see Romans) grace did much more abound.

No where in scripture does it talk about killing sin.
Scripture does talk about destroying death but not sin.
Sin is forgiven.
When we are water baptized we are circumsized. The old man (old nature is drowned). We are given a new, regenerated heart. (spirit).
We are washed clean. Christ gives us living water.
Anytime a new way of doing something is introduced it is stated as such. Such as a new covenant with Christ. Please show where it states water baptism is done away with.

Now that is how Water Baptism should be taught, Amen!!!
cont --
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
1 corinthians 1:17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
If you think water plays a part in salvation, the cross is of none effect. That is crystal clear.
The dispensation of the grace of God was something new, and most aren't aware.

Romans 6:3-6
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Ephesians 4:4-6
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Matthew 5:18
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 3:14-15
But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Christ Jesus has fulfilled all righteousness for us.
