The talk about which vocalist is best is beginning to annoy me. They're both on the same level and, of course, that's a high standard. The difference is timbre. Whether you prefer the colourings of Staley over DuVall is up to you. Don't knock DuVall for being a lesser vocalist because the fact of the matter is that he's not.

he is good, hes a good singer. But the fact of the mater is that no one can compare to Layne, he had something no one else does! thats just a fact. But people give duvall a chance, id rather have aic with him than no aic at all, besides what about jerry, sean, and mike they are still here!

I'm a William Duvall fan. I think his vocal styling is quite good. And Jerry Cantrell obviously thinks so, too:)

@HymnalCliche Not to rain on your parade but no they're not. Don't get me wrong! I'm past the No Layne No Chains things. I'm also aware of how hard William has worked to get where he is today and I respect him for it. But Layne was the greatest. Just ask Mike Inez...

man i been out of the loop an just got on the net an looked up my fav band an find shit like this with sum black dude singing i started tripn out!!!! come to find out stanley died in 02...well im my opinon the fukn band shoulda died too...its just pitfull listen to that wanna be lenny kravitz fker and lets face it the long hair guy was a back,thats what he should stay......with out stanley is like peanut butter with no jelly bread or milk life just sucks!!!!!!!!!!!
