smoothest cover if found on you tube so far i really like your tone good playing homie

It's not fair to call this "Ska"; there is just as much from Rocksteady, Reggay and Reggae in 2-Tone as there is Ska proper. I know that's what people like to "say" but it confuses people who are trying to learn the music.

Def a class act on bass mate. I'm a newcomer and find your stuff encouraging me to get to the next level. Loved the Level 8 piece too. The Bass can be a bit of a weapon in the right hands, unfortunately for me that's your hands, I can only watch, learn and appreciate your part in some great songs, keep posting them. I'll look out for your album, good luck with it. Cheers.

This is really weird!
Wow, I've been listening to (and loving) this song for over 20 years but, until your post, I did not realize how integral the bass really was to the whole beat. Good job, man! Are you familar with Prince Buster's original "Al Capone" as well? A little slower as it was from an earlier era, but you might enjoy jazzing it up with your bass.

hey man, thanks for your comment!
The bass and drums really are at the very centre of this kind of ska groove, they just keep it pumping along.
I'll be sure to check out the other tune as well, mega busy at the moment though!
Cheers again
