my great grandfather owned 1700 acres in european russia...in 1917 this was confiscated and he was shot as a kulak...for some reason russia doesn't think they owe me a living or that it's my land...indians lost any lands to purchase (mostly) and should get over it and earn a living...you can't turn back the clock

I think I see white man on this powwow?
-
@missmattily Yeah I forgot to mention that the land is no one's. :) People who try to own pieces of the elements are greedy. We are one. Mitakuye Oyasin :)

@ja0401 You're forgetting something....this wasn't "Native" land. Ownership of land made no more sense to the Natives than did owning a piece of the air. The concept of territory however existed. I'm white and Shawnee/Mohawk. Do I feel ambivalent, sometimes filled with self-hatred? You betcha. But I'm NOT going to be held guilty for the actions of people hundreds of years ago...and legislation even up into the mid-twentieth century? None of my people, white or red, had anything to do with it.

@ja0401 I am a white man, but I am ashamed for what happened on the land called America. It is shameful that the peoples who for thousands of years are the owners of these lands, they are relegated to the reserves. I am ashamed for the prevalence of white men and men not respecting the rights of these lands, for the murders which were made for the imposition of a foreign culture and lawlessness. I bow my forehead and express respect for all Native Peoples. Howgh!

@cscate Its fucked up what they did to each other before the white man got here. Let's talk about THAT for once.
-
@ja0401 I find it aggrivating that braindead liberals and angry darkies continuously ignore their own imperialism and land theft and try to sit on a moral high chair hurling condemnations at whites. You fucks should thank us -- until the white man came along, these Lakota illiterates had no written language until the WHITE MAN gave it to them. Before whites got here, these assholes were fighting with each other over land and there was no formal land ownership system. SO WHO'S LAND IS IT? LOL

Loved the videos...but how on earth do you spell Buck's indian name? lol..=]
I find it aggravating that most people do not understand Native tradition. I find it stupid that most americans are blind to the fact that this is the Native's land. This is not a land for the white man......I don't care if there were any said apologies. There is not a single thing that can be said to take back what happened......

I'm Native (Ojibway) and I enjoyed watching this beautiful video. Buck Spotted Tail, speaks very well and beautifully represents our Native people.
