@phizzstar That recital was 1999 I believe, because I remember a man crying and another one shout "You're the greatest!. That was her final solo classical recital, but she continues to perform american folk songs and music theatre on occasion. Most of what she does these days is teach private lessons and master classes. She is just as amazing as a teacher as she is a singer. She is the reason I started singing...and she's a class act all the way.

I would like to write that many comments regarding this form of entertainment and what seems amusing to some for reasons I have a hard time understanding in that I hear a prayer, and that's what I hear. Some say diva I say goddess. It is a faith based prayer that for some reason in this century has been turned into a form of amusement or entertainment. Like art ie: painting, drawing, sculpture a form of decoration. Art is much more and we have a long way to go.

¡Bravo a ambas!

Let me know when she comes back to Chicago, you lucky guys. She did a recital here some years ago and I had to be there. She moved this one guy so much until he started to cry out loud. She gives hugs and kisses, what a good hearted person she must be. Wow!.
Majestic and commanding in every way: musicianship, dress, and poise. She and Senesino would have either been very great friends or terrific rivals; nevertheless, she's a diva whatever the century!

Just as if Handel himself wanted this aria to be released. A perfect communion with the true spirit of the baroque. What a delight
