Josh stresses how search marketers must think of themselves as the quarterback, to help drive their search business. Josh highlights a 2008 case study where the company, Rugs Direct, found that the generic branding words they were buying actually helped them boost their revenue by more than 200%. Josh also discusses a NorthWest Airlines case study where the company generated more than 16 million dollars using a landing page optimization tool. Omniture manages and optimizes close to one trillion transactions per quarter for their customers.
