Abuse? That's what you're supposed to do in a Subbie.

@DSmyles Its all land which is now under water.. No need to get upset about it! The dam at this point is at less than 30% of its full capacity!

@thecarexpert Yeah, you are so right. I have a MY02 Forester, much like the one in this video except dark blue and I love the boxy shape of it. Its distinctive, you know its a subi. I hate the new shape ones, they just like most other cars. old subis are the best :)

Hey dude, AT 1:50 did one of the rear tyres lose traction? I cant work out why you couldn't slide forward on the nudge bar? I had my 05 forester in a similar situation and was able to push forward on jsut the rears.

i wouldnt call that abuse since thats what Subaru are intended for.
What your using to tow the forester out is called a snatch strap and your not using it correctly. It's not meant to be used as a tether to tow out a vehicle. Once you connect it to both cars, the towing vehicle should accelerate away starting with the snatch strap being slack. When the strap comes under tension it will then stretch to a point until it litterally snatches back to its original size, reafing the vehicle out of the bog. Just thought I would try to help.

It was actually a winch extension strap in the first scene and towing the forester was the appropriate way in that situation. Also the snatch strap in the last scene was being used correctly, however thankyou for trying.

Love the landy cameo. I own a Legacy myself, as well as a 78' series III Land Rover- both of which get a fair share of abuse in New England.
Good video.
