  • Is it really possible to ever learn a great technique on your own? I mean the videos and material are all there for you.....what do you think Mr. CBrown?

  • @STORMYB Every voice is different and needs to be tailored, however, there have been great singers that have taught themselves, Franco Corelli for example. The golden rule for singing is, it has to 'sound' good and can not AT be painful.

  • you comment about celine dion is wrong my fav from a musician point of view...not because a note is sang without vibrato is wrong...the note tha celine dion sang goes with the music and motion need for the background impact of the music...u shud learnd from this too...try listenin to it again n add in ur mind some vibrato on it n u will noticed tha it wudnt have the same impact my friend....

  • @jsax29 I will. and I would just like you to know that Celine Dion is one of my favorite voices and performers and is actually the reason I wanted to be a professional singer. Thank you for being so mature and clear in your opinion.

  • two questions what song is it that pavarotti is singing here and who is the very last singer in this video he is great.

  • @Penguins9526 Pavarotti is sing the cadenza of Una Furtiva Lacrima from Donizetti's L'elisir D'amore and the last singer is the uncanny James Valenti. He just made a glorious debut at the metropolitain opera as Alfredo in La Traviata, he's singing Pinkerton in the clip. My friends got to see/hear him and said that is was just perfection. Not only is Mr. Valenti an amazing artist be he is a stand up guy and in the early part of his career sent me a very encouraging message about singing.

  • @qw3rtydud3 Ah thank you :D

  • @TwistingWays 'Languir per una bella'- it's an aria from act I of L'italiana in Algeri

  • @jsax29 I think the point he was making was that Celine's note was unhealthy, which it was. He never said that it didn't have 'impact' and actually said he wasn't denying that it was impressive or exciting. He's not wrong at all.

  • @TwistingWays Yes but you guys already have a higher range, so all of your full voice notes are in our falsetto/head voice.

  • @jnchin89 It's about head voice for tenors, too :P

  • What is Matteuzi singing there? It sounds like Rossini...but I could be wrong.

  • @IAMLEGEND0006 I think so.

  • It all depends on what quality you are using for high notes. Belt requires thick folds and short sharp breath and there should be no vibrato. A mix (or tilt for the technical singers out there) which david phelps constantly sings in should have vibrato. Celine is belting and william is in a very high mix they are completely different. There is also mixed belt that does not need vibrato to be healthy. Also i sing probably 5 hours a day sometimes more and I have never had any vocal health issues.
