I rode 20 inch Dahon Vitesse D7 Folding Bike from my house to Cardiff Central train station and took a train to Bristol Temple Meads to go to a meeting. I got completely drenched by a major downpour which left me cold and sufficiently saturated. The meeting was short and I went for a wander around Bristol city centre and Cabbot Circus before heading home on the train. The Dahon makes commuting a lot of fun. I've added a waterproof pannier from Canyon and a Cyclop rear view mirror this week. This was my first real chance to try both and I'm very happy I went with both accessories. The bike is awesome! You can wheel it when folded by keeping the seapost up and using the seat as a handle. Oh , that seat is by RIDO and it is a very comfortable glow in the dark seat. I'm sure tp put more vids up soon.

  • Thanks a lot mate~ Real useful info

    That was so quick

    Cheers~!

  • @zoonie00 No problem buddy. I'm one of the biggest Dahon fans in the UK. Any chance I can help others choose the best ride for their money, I'm glad to do it. Happy trails dude.

  • HI is this 2010 version

Still did not made a choice between vitesse HG or regular vitesse

which one should I go for????

  • @zoonie00 Hi. This is the 2009 D7 version. When I got it , it cost a lot less than the HG version. I saw online they are both selling on ebay brand new for £359. I have had lots of tinkering issues with the gears on this bike along with the twistgrip. Just seems to never be exactly on the right gear. I owned a Curve D3 with a hub gear and it also had twistgrips, but 100% easier to maintain and to tune perfectly. I'd recommend getting the hub.

  • Hey VindicatedBliss. thanks for the vids. Great stuff.

I have a question. I just ordered (and should be getting it in a week) the Vitesse D7HG. I was wondering firstly, what rack are you using with that pannier? Looks like a great set up. Can you fit a change of clothes in there (shoes included). Also, how easy is it to roll around like that, by the seat? That's the way I want to go, instead of lugging 12 kilos around. Thanks again! I'll make a short vid when I get mine. We do need more vids!

  • @VindicatedBliss will take your advice with the hub cheers

  • Finally I 've got Vitesse HG. Thanks for the advice

Just wondering did you put any Cycle computers on yours. There are some people who are saying that bike computers are not installable on Dahon bikes.

i like your panniers too! which make is that??
