every time i get sleep paralysis, i force myself to get back to sleep rather than trying to wake myself up. cos the more you try to wake up, the more you'll panic and it'll be harder to move.

I feel sorry for the person on this video.Im not narcoleptic but I CAN have sleep paralysis if I want to and I use sleep paralysis to have OBE.So far nothing scarry happened to me because whenever it happens I don't panic or freak out.AND I MANAGED TO CONQUER THAT INCREDIBLE FEAR that gets you when you have sleep paralysis because i imediatly use it for out-of-body experiences. It's like in a roler-coaster:you either piss your pants or have the greateast experience of your life

The Only things which have every helped me are Anti-depressants which suppress Rem sleep, and Xyrem. Those two are the only which help reduce severity for me, but that is IF I can get them. Lately it is has been alot like this video without my meds. Stinkin RX Assistance programs seem to not get that I have no income, thus no way to prove such!

At first you cannot talk at all. This experience was extremely severe, and even trying to move and wriggle could not get me out. After the first hour I was able to begin moving my jaw slightly, and by the 1 1/2 hr mark, I was able to talk as you saw. The SP was that strong.

You should search for connection between OBE and Astral projection with sleep paralysis. There might be some techniques that you could use to ease your case, or maybe wake up.

Hi, i watched this video and i am amazed how severe your case of sleep paralysis is. I get this from time to time, but my lasts only seconds up to few minutes max. I was reading about it, and it looks like cause of sleep paralysis in my case is stress and not enough sleep. Mostly it happens during the day. Now i pretty sure you already researched, and know all the possible causes of sleep paralysis, but you might want to do some research on OBE (Out of the body experience).
I have had episodes like that. Cataplexy/sleep paralysis. It could last a minute, or hours. These are signs of potential Narcolepsy, but there are other sleep disorders that can, if severe enough, also look like Narcolepsy. Sleep disorders are not always easy to determine because many of them cause similar symptoms depending on the level of sleep deprivation. I'm assuming that, since you are not on Disability, that you are not diagnosed. I wish you luck, and do not give up.

I do have Narcolepsy with Catapleyx, Fibromyalgia, and RA. I am trying to get SSI disability for the second time in my life, since my husband(the videographer in this vid) left me with nothing.

Just for SP, you cannot get an easy SSI or SSDI check. It must be so bad you canot work and earn a gainful income. SSI is not much, and SSA will fight you every step of the way. It is the opposite of easy, and you must PROVE you are very disabled.
