Christian scriptures recount extraordinary events on a cosmic level at the time of Christ's birth - events that rivaled anything in written astronomical history. One event in particular involved the rise of the 'Star of Bethlehem,' a star heralding the arrival of the son of God. The hour-long documentary The Star of Bethlehem explores the historical data behind this miraculous event and the resonance of it through the centuries
Was the Star of Bethlehem a real astronomical event? A myth created by the early church? Explore the history and science for yourself...

  • @MrJohnnyBulldawg You got a point, but yet n still i read the bible i believe in god but i dont consider myself christian because its a religion the bible doesn't speak of religion. the bible is definitely true i never said it wasn't. Religion is the problem look into the connection between Catholic n Christian. You will be mind blown

  • @MrJohnnyBulldawg I would go so far as to say that it is the exact opposite of tradition which distinguished Christ from the status quo. People get so idolatrous with "tradition" that they lose sight of the original purpose behind the "tradition" and they come to hold the form or "tradition" itself to be sacred over the meaning behind it. Jesus was crucified because of this. The Apostles were beaten, killed and exiled when they called us to abandon traditions in favor of a heart circumcision.

  • @MrJohnnyBulldawg And furthermore, the end of sin is the blessed hope of all who believe. You take that away from the Gospel and there is no Gospel. You simply choose to rewrite it and conform it to your preferences. You either have:1) never actually paid attention to the words of Christ, the prophets or believers, or 2) you are intentionally fabricating an entirely different message which has no reference to scripture and you know it.

  • @Lessonscg13 You definitely do not speak for me. I became a Christian because I was convicted in my heart that my selfishness and even my best day was meaningless in light of God's Holiness and I admitted my sin, asked for the grace and mercy of God and received it. I am a Christian still today because I have a relationship with the living God of the Universe who deals with me in a longsuffering maner, despite my constant failures. Tradition has absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever.

  • @MrJohnnyBulldawg WE SUBMIT TO TRADITION THE ONLY REASON U ME AND ANYONE ELSE BECAME CHRISTIAN IS TRADITION. OPEN YOUR MIND READ OTHER SPIRITUAL DOCUMENTS AND YOU WILL SEE THE SIMILARITIES IN ALL RELIGION THAT'S WHY I DON'T GO BY RELIGION BECAUSE ITS POLITICS GOD IS IN YOUR HEART FIND OUT HOW TO LISTEN TO YOUR HEART AND YOU WILL FIND GOD. THE WORLD IS NOT ENDING. THIS NEW WORLD ORDER THEY HAVE PLANED FOR US IS COMING OPEN YOUR EYES THATS WHAT THEY MEAN BY THE END

  • For new comers to debate among those whose heart is hardened, they amuse themselves with positing silly and diversionary topics for debate when the Truth is revealed in very overwhelming ways. In the scriptures when Jesus would heal someone born blind or lame, the only thing that the hardened heart could do in response to overwhelming evidence was to find fault and make ridiculous arguments to assuage their guilt and shame in light of the power of the Gospel when they are unwilling to submit.

  • @artsychic2000 wow that has nothing to do with a Christmas tree. Its only an Idol if yo unmake it an Idol. I don't worship my tree. Im not a horrible Christian nor am I following paganism by having a tree.

  • yeshua Jesus is the only way. If you don't want him you will never know

  • there is sacrifice behind the idolotry...where people would sacrifice their own children in exchange for prosperity. Has anything changed?

  • @artsychic2000 Or if someone loves their Christmas tree more than God, then such a thing might also be considered spiritual idolatry. But apart from these exceptions, I think it is abundantly clear that Christians who erect Christmas trees are NOT worshiping them as gods or goddesses, nor are they loving them more than their Savior Jesus Christ.
