This is a documentary about OCD and anxiety disorders (it is in two parts so please make sure you watch the second half!)
I filmed this video for my Girl Scout Gold Award Project
If you found that it taught you anything or helped in any way, please pass the link on to other people!
Also, if you would like a copy of the video, or have any questions for me please feel free to leave a comment or send me an email through my youtube account.

Here are some resources I found that are really great and full of information:
www.OCFoundation.org
www.adaa.org
www.treatocd.org
www.stepoutofthesilence.org (this site has a great blog where you can interact with people in similar situations)

Books:
The Everything Health Guide to OCD by Chelsea Lowe
Mr. Worry: a story about OCD by Holly L. Niner
Against Medical Advice: A True Story by James Patterson and Hal Friedman

  • I have terrible OCD and continually waste time everyday over things that seem abnormal, although when I begin interacting in something eg. sports it completly goes away and only comes back after i've finished the sport.

  • Wow this really shows me how much people don't know....

  • you didn't properly erase the 't' in the beginning and it's driving me insane

  • @Maroondare i know how u feel bro

  • theses nothing wrong with haveing ocd its more common then you think ,but hate it when other people view it as a bad thing and treat people diffrently if they have it like useing it as a diss , well that could be offensive

  • @TheSpongecake101 Im sorry to hear that, i had an early stage of OCD when i was younger but i somewhat refused it and fighted it, i was willing to stop counting stuff and circule around object and everything i did

but unfortienetly my younger brother has bad form of ocd and nothing seems to help him , he isnt dedicated to fight it.. :(

  • @torentrap I've suffered from it since I was about 3 and I always just assumed that most people knew. Its so sad.

  • @markozutic361 I have terrible OCD and I think that is very good advise.

  • @Maroondare yea, thing is that you need to find something to keep you occupied , to keep your mind off what it says to you, untill you get used to not do what you do, as it lasted longer, i's harder to make it go away

    but enver give up :)

  • Watching the beginning of this video , where people were asked if they knew what OCD was , and didn't know , just made me burst into tears. It seems so alien to me not knowing about this horrible disease to being oblivious to its existence and impact it has . Sad really. I have suffered from OCD for almost 20 years now.

  • @xhinoju Yes! I was also very surprised because of that boy in the video! :O

  • @karlanickita I can't tel you how surprised I am that theres at least 2 people like me
