These are lovely, uplifting stories, that's for sure. But I can't help but wonder about all the misery and suffering in the world, and why "our lady" or god or whatever allows it. And I know I know, "the lord works in mysterious ways."

That would depend, my mother died days after I turned five, before then she was either working or being treated for cancer. The only time she wasn't sick after my birth was the first 18 months, during which time I couldn't talk or understand what was going on around me. My father was always nicer than my mother was anyways. I really don't know what "a true loving mother" is since the only time I could have had one I was an infant. I do have a great dad though, he is amazing, the best!

@twangurdead Or Orthodox Christians, you know, we sadly never get mentioned by you westerners, it's ok, we know you don't know much about us or our existance, we forgive you wholeheartedly! We pray to the Theotokos and the saints too. It's because we are all part of one big human family, so why not ask help in pleading your case from the rest of the family before the Father? We Orthodox petition in droves!
