Intel Hand First Movements

First movements of "Intel Hand" which uses SET (Series Elastic Tendons) to actuate each joint (10 DOF total). Hand is currently being developed at Intel Research Seattle.

This is very interesting. You don't have to lose a hand for this technology. It demonstrates that you can create a phantom limb - so we should be able to manage multiple extra limbs - like the goddess Kali. What would be useful would be a tool arm, even something as simple as the ability to "lock" a grip in place like a vice would be pretty useful. There is room under our arms for an interface.
