not really need to as long as you hair dry it after straight away. yes i do the same under a hot sink where you wash your hands or tub and use strong brush big one and slowly and carefully sometimes use old tooth brush to clean unreachable areas actually ! helps alot even reanimated dead hardware. finally someone speakout about this stuff.
