@NYCBlonde Actually I was making comparisons to this and to non-profit theater. Non-profit is a completely different ball park than the theater on this show that's all about business and making money. And the shows writers actually have experience in theater because allot of the "personality types" for characters on the show are actually in real life. There's always at least one diva, a gay couple, a director who is both a genius and a crazy nut (of course everyone is a little bit crazy), ect.

@RialVestro Er--that's why it's funny. Of course a real business director wouldn't talk to the star who's about to play Hamlet that way right before opening. But a clueless one like Richard, in a tv show, might. Every point you think you're making can be chalked up "it's a comedy."

All delusions of ego aside, I'm a terrible actor. I'm a techie through and through and always have been. But I tell you, I would LOVE to work with Geoffry Tambor as an actor. Paul Gross is an incredible actor and Geoffry is amazing.
Plus I would really like to stab Holly in the head with an ice pick. Bitch.

That f-ing dumb A, you don't tell an actor "No one exspects you to become a classical actor, you're a movie star, now go out there and sell seats." And that blond haired witch, I think she just caused that woman to flat line. Holly hell, the buisness people on this show don't know the first thing about Theater and the Theater people are a bunch of sell outs. I work for a non-prophit theater, it's nothing like this.
"If I were bothered by vomit, I would not work in the theatre"

Isn't it great? I love that subplot of the evil Americans trying to ruin our good, Canadian artistic integrity.
