Alex...is your G430 AUX pafe fuel flow data coming from the factory fuel flow sensor or the JPI sensor?

The factory FF sensor is tied into the JPI, which then uses a RS232 channel to pipe out to the G430s. I don't have the 430s anymore but I do have 650s which have a similar arrangement. Eitherway, we were piggybacking off the existing FF transducer.

why doesnt cirrus just use the g1000?

G3 uses Perspective, which is a modification of the G1000 software. This aircraft is a G1, which is a mix of conventional instrumentation and glass.
