The Fortunes - "You've Got Your Troubles" (1965)

"You've Got Your Troubles" is a song by written by Roger Greenaway and Roger Cook which became a number two hit for the The Fortunes in the United Kingdom and a number seven in the United States in August 1965. This was the fifth single for the group. It was included in the album The Fortunes. Country duo Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan revived the song in 1969. Tom Edwards, one time programme controller at Radio City (pirate radio station), a short-lived but fondly-remembered entertainment channel, recalls that this record would be aired whenever the station's estuarial fort needed practical assistance from its supporters in Kent.

Met a girl in Southsea, England in 65, this was our song. Lost contact with her in 67. We got back together two years ago and play this song a lot. Who says romance is dead !

If only I'd taken this song to heart, I would never have had anything to do with the opposite sex. Four girls have come and gone in the interim. and, it was all a waste of time. I should hve stayed alone for the past 46 years. Just because everyone does something, it does not mean you have to conform. 401ks, remodeling, new cars, parties, marriages, celebrations, and all the rest are a waste of time. Just give me a nice cat for company.
