Frankie is helping Cass with his files at the law office. Noticing the abundance of divorce cases in the files she is organizing, Frankie asks Cass how many divorces he's averaging a month. Cass replies that he's handling too many. Frankie asks what kind of wedding the couple whose file she just put on his desk had. Cass replies that they had a huge formal wedding and ended up doing an itemized division of their wedding gifts. Frankie says she guesses a traditional wedding doesn't guarantee a happy ending, and muses that she should tell Christy that...if Christy ever bothers to speak to Frankie and Cass again. Frankie wonders if Douglas is right about Christy wanting to put the whole thing behind her. Christy used to be a rock. Cass tells Frankie that he thinks she and Christy changed places when Frankie wasn't looking. Frankie admits that she should be more patient with Christy; she would be a basket case if she were going through what Christy's going through. Cass tells Frankie that he saw a different side of Christy at the hospital, after she had just gone another round with Dr. Beckett. Frankie is not happy to hear that Beckett is still pushing Douglas to have more tests because Douglas has accepted the fact that he is terminally ill. Cass says that Christy doesn't look as death as a comforting end, and she's terrified of losing Douglas. Christy then arrives, and initially she's all good cheer and acts like nothing is wrong, but she's surprised when Frankie says that Frankie and Cass are no closer to a wedding than they were the last time Christy talked to them. Christy finally apologizes for her behavior at and melodramatic exit from TOPS, and adds that if Felicia can ever forgive Christy, maybe they can all work on the wedding together. Frankie goes to answer her phone when it rings, and while she's gone, Cass asks Christy how Christy and Douglas are doing today. Christy replies that she's much better, and Douglas is on an even keel. Douglas has these episodes, and she still doesn't handle them very well after all this time because she knows that each one weakens Douglas even more. Cass starts to apologize in case he said something to make it worse, but Christy tells him he didn't, he couldn't. Frankie returns then to get her coat and scarf and tells Cass that that was Dean on the phone, and he needs to see her right away. He wouldn't say why, just that it was an emergency. Cass says his files are about to be declared a disaster area. Frankie promises that she'll get to the files, but Christy volunteers to pitch in and help, assuring Cass that she has nothing else planned for the afternoon and Douglas is tired of her hovering anyway. Frankie and Cass thank Christy. When Frankie tells Christy that Cass is the soul of understanding until he loses a brief, Christy replies that she thinks she can hold her own since she worked under a lot of directors who were tyrants. Frankie kisses Cass, tells him she'll be back in time for their dancing lesson, and leaves to see Dean. Christy asks about the dancing lessons after Frankie leaves, and Cass tells her that he and Frankie are taking ballroom dancing lessons thanks to Christy's suggestion. Christy says that maybe she knew what was best for Cass and Frankie after all. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
