  • Is it just me, or has Les Smith been on almost every TV station in Memphis?

  • @sctvhound actually it's not. it may occured in the 80's and 90's, but it's not out of date.

  • @MrJsmoove1984 as a Manager, Corporate Communications specialist

  • @sctvhound And exactly one station still uses the parent package - that would be KYMA Yuma, AZ - and it's probably only on their evening newscasts (samples indicate use of a production theme in the mornings and NBC Collection on the 10pm Nightside).

It's a crying shame. Wall to Wall News after 25 years is up against a similar fate (its last holdout is WDSI Chattanooga, TN, it seems). Hello News, remarkably, is still used by several stations!

  • That theme music is out of date now.

  • cause les smith is at channel 13

  • pam was fine back then is it true she works at fedex?

  • The WREG Dream Team!!

  • You gotta love the Music background! I remember there used to be a female singer in the background. Hey, NewsRetiree, do you have this ID bumper with the music/vocal background?

  • my thoughts EXACTLY!!! this opening is sooo much better than now's.
