  • "Exactly like your father! A big stupid, muscle headed moron!" -- Mrs. Marus

Yes, you're right, and that was surely a difficult role. She was also pretty good in that episode of "Bonanza" where she plays the saloon girl who dreams of being a ballerina.

  • @Babyhowdy233 Although she was known mainly as a dancer, Barrie Chase gave a pretty good dramatic performance in the original “Cape Fear” with Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck. She played the barfly who lets herself get picked up by the brutal psychopath Max Cady (Mitchum) and lives to regret it.

  • @Babyhowdy233 Thanks for your comment.

Her character is the archetype 1960s California "surfer girl":slender, well toned, immodest (to be polite), fun-loving girl who's head was always on at least a slight buzz from either too little sleep, a few beers or a few drags too many. Yes, pot was used early on by the jazz-loving denizens of the beach community, of which Sylvester and "Baby" represent here, although in the scene where "Baby" is smoking on the bed she is clearly smoking tobacco, not pot.

  • where did this puppet come from? A miniature boxing ring? I doubt a Sylvester puppet was made for the movie

  • ONE OF THE FUNNIEST FILM EVER MADE HANDS DOWN!!!!

  • Well THAT was slightly frightening... tee hee hee

  • @sculpt39 Thank you- she's wonderful.
