YK Flypast

Following the loss of a First Air B737 at Resolute Bay last weekend, out of Yellowknife, the aviation community lined up this evening (only 4 days later) to fly past in a show of support and solidarity and to bid farewell to the 12 who died. It was the sort of thing we would have expected the RAF to put on, back when we had enough aircraft, but to see all of the competing commercial operators of this community turn out and act together was really something moving.

Thank you so much for sharing this video, and the music . . . it's so beautiful and so fitting. Our daughter is a former flight attendant with First Air out of Yellowknife at one time . . and this tragedy has reached deep into our hearts.. may they RIP and enjoy flying in heaven .
