Tour the Hickok45 primary shooting range and hear my thoughts on steel targets. I think with my son manning the camera, you get a better look at how things are set up and where they actually are. Since I get asked so often, I'll give a free plug to the folks I've purchased most of my targets from: www.arntzentargets.com.

  • DO YOU ALWAYS RESET YOUR TARGETS AFTER SHOOTING

  • @babodean , Usually. If they are lying down during heavy rain, they get dirty or muddy sometimes. I hate to spray paint over dirt, even on a traget that is just going to get shot. :-) It goes against everything I've ever learned about painting to paint dirt.

  • Would a 30 30 tear up some of the smaller targets?

  • @dylan1094 , a .30-30 would be okay on the hardened steel targets if you are far enough away.

  • perhaps I missed it in the videos so I'll ask briefly here. What's the diameter or the 230 yard gong? Looks to be about 2 feet.

  • @biladupa, Yep, a little over 2 feet.

  • 'kin hell, hickok45 compound is huge. Is this the newest state in the US?

  • Thats a "plinkers" wonderland, almost like going to Disney World, especially for us lever gun addicts.

  • How often, if at all, do you replace the targets?

  • Thanks For Sharing With Us
