  • I've used 7075 for the cylinder heads,master rod and slave rods its plenty hard holds threads real well and machines nice,and easy to find scrap at metal yards.most every thing else is 2024.thank you for the comment

  • thank you for the comments,at the time this video was made this was the first run-in,

    at the time you mentioned I was tweeking the main jet,the engine was running on

    colmuns lantern fuel.I found out ,the lower the octane,the easyer it is to burn.

  • I would avoid 6061 if at all posible the harder air craft aluminuns machine alot better,such as 2024,7075(super hard I recomend for cylinder heads )go to scrap yards look for rem
