Same way Bush increased it 5.9 trillion-- just 80% more.

Don't you know how govt works?

If you want to see Obama's budget, go and look it up yourself, it's on the public record.

But "Cash for Clunkers" was 30 billion alone.... WASTED; also about 800 billion in bailouts, voting repeatedly to increase the debt-ceiling etc.

    ALL WASTED.

  • @SovereignStatesman I asked what Obama did to rack up 80% more debt. You simply repeated that he did (even increasing percent slightly from 80% to 81%) without actually answering my question as to what Obama did to accomplish this.

  • @Kooshmeister3

Ok. Bush: 5.9 trillion over 8 years.

Obama: 4 trillion over 3 years.

    Obama:Bush Ratio/year: 1.81.

    That's 81% more per year.

  • @SovereignStatesman How did he do that? I've heard that before, but nobody's every bothered elaborating on how Obama managed to do this. 'm genuinely interested to learn. Obama hasn't exactly been the golden boy everyone thought he was.

And of course it's silly to blame the Bush tax cuts. I thought the national debt was due to military spending and two wars, as opposed to tax cuts.

  • @Kooshmeister3

    The Republicans.

Stewart completely ignores that Obama increased the national debt EIGHTY PERCENT more per year than Bush, but rather still blames it all on "Bush tax-cuts for the rich."

  • @SovereignStatesman "Them" who?

  • @TheMultioscarwinner Steve Colbert was right, both parties are just twin factions of an entrenched oligarchy.

  • @Kooshmeister3

Bullshit. He still blames them for the economy.

  • @SovereignStatesman Stewart seems to poke fun at Democrats just as often as he does Republicans.
