The Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1987 designated Yucca Mountain as the only site to be considered for a high-level nuclear waste and spent fuel repository. Clark County established the Nuclear Waste Division for the purpose of monitoring Yucca Mountain and keeping the public informed and involved in the proposed project northwest of Las Vegas.

This video documents the personal perceptions, institutional knowledge and lessons learned by key individuals who have participated in this complex national issue. It contains interviews from representatives from Clark County, the state of Nevada, special interest groups, Native American tribes, Clark County Nuclear Waste contractors and staff.
