i'm a violist myself and i hope you'll take this as constructive criticism. first of all, the etude calls for spicatto on the dotted notes. also, try to stay out of the tip of the bow so much--you're sacrificing your tone quality. playing lower in the bow will also enable you to play spiccatto much more easily. watch your tempo--you slow down on sections where you're less confident. some metronome work will fix this pretty quickly. i'd also think about adding some dynamics. great start though!
