Rob Griffiths demonstrates some tab tweaks for Safari 4 Beta—specifically, how to move the tab bar back below the bookmarks bar, and for those who prefer the new top tabs, how to use color to make the active tab more distinguishable from the inactive tabs.

  • I like Safari, it works very good for me. To be honest, it's really about personal preferences, what's great is that we get to have all these browsers to choose from, and most, if not all, are free.

I think I tried about 6 or 7 browsers before I really settled on staying with Safari. Also, I'm going to stay with Safari 3 for a little while more, the new beta version still has too many glitches that need to be fixed.

  • they should have him play the mac guy in the mac vs pc commercials!

  • @F4aiz i liked tabs on top, there should have been an option

  • how do i make tabs. i can only make folder. with normal safari

  • Hey guys, how about commenting on the video and not getting into which browser is best. That's not what the instructional video was for. It's for people to try what's being taught and then commenting on it. 3 pages of responses and not one of you tried it? Well I did, and it didn't work. I have colored tab files in Safari resources but they still come up in grey! I'm using the final release of Safari 4. Anybody know why?

  • I'm glad that they moved tabs back to the bottom of the address bar for Safari 4 release.

  • I think it's much better!

  • So what happened to "Mark Page for Snapback" that used to be under the History menu? Why eliminate features?
