Well, new cartoons aren't entirely a bad thing. Say, 20 years ago there wasn't any new animation. We wouldn't have Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Batman: TAS, Darkwing Duck, or Gargoyles. Heck, there's even some more recent cartoons I really enjoy (The new Spider-Man and KND come to mind) The main problem I have is, television channels now ONLY show new cartoons. The '94 TV guide I have lists stuff from the 50's through the 90's. Now it's just 2000s and that's it.

why do channels like the BBC and nikelodeon and CITV and whatever always feel the need to have the newest and latest cartoons for kids?

ANY CARTOON TO A KID IS A NEW CARTOON.

Seriously all this money spent on cartoons coulda just re-ran all the old cartoons we know and love, he-man, transformers, thundercats, gummie bears, cities of gold etc etc. I mean is there any reason kids need NEW cartoons when even the old stuff is NEW to them?

I second that totally! Nowadays, kids lack hero figures to look up to and admire. We had tons of that in the 80's cartoons and there was a sense of justice when heroes were fighting the bad guys, and there was alot of moral codes in the end of alot of cartoons...lots of good stuff for the kids. What do we have now? Glorified violence, pokemon and all that shit. I cant tell you how lucky we were to be kids in the 80's. I pity that my future kids wont be as lucky

hehe we had it the BEST!.. The BEST!!. omg some of this stuff makes me realise i was raised in the best time ever. Id hate to be a kid now days. Everything in the 80s etc as i grew up is just the better side of life man!. lol some classics. Im trying to get as much as i can on dvd such as dogtanian and super ted and anything i can remember for my kids as i simply hate what they have available for them on tele lol. we had it the BEST ;o)

Omg I so remember mostly all of these classic cartoons. These new cartoons can't beat the classics. Childhood memories indeed thx so much for uploading it really does bring back memories :)
