Seing that comment right there, I can tell you've never used a CG before. You're completely wrong; in fact its quite the opposite. While Vizrt offers elaborate animation, Chyron is still stuck in the standard XYZ animation...the basic design of their Duet systems hasn't changed since 1998.

There are some really nice graphics packages used by stations who use Vizrt actually, but that's beside the point. The system the graphics are executed from makes no difference at all. Vizrt offers a large amount of animation and design features that Chyron just doesn't have...many stations have already gone to Vizrt for their HD graphics needs.

And what does the CG have to do with a particular station's graphics package? The CG is only the system used to put graphics on air, not design them. I come from a TV background and I can tell you I would take a Vizrt over a Chyron any day...while they do on-air operations pretty much the same, only the Vizrt has design capabilities (Viz Artist) while Chyron has none.

Their previous package was just the Zakim Bridge flying around, with cables as transitions to B-Roll and anchor shots...etc.
